EFIB 2011
18-19 October 2011
Novotel Amsterdam City
Amsterdam
A packed plenary session of 350 attendees closed EFIB 2011 with a call to arms for the biobased economy.
The closing keynote from Roger Wyse of Burrill Partners demonstrated both huge opportunities in this sector and the tough challenges that lie ahead. A significant number of partnerships and collaborations between start ups and large multinationals are now delivering innovative new products to address retail and consumer pull for biobased products. However, sources of both funding and feedstock are still needed to enable biobased economy to deliver on its promise.
Over 70 speakers from across the value chain including financers and venture capitalists, policy makers and government officials, start ups and senior industry figures gave presentations and engaged in debate to look at these opportunities and challenges in depth. Their insight and knowledge sharing enabled attendees to leave the conference equipped with the knowledge to succeed.
Attendees also took full advantage of the comprehensive networking sessions and the partnering tools provided to host over 500 private meetings at the conference and develop essential contacts and networks to help build this dynamic, fast growing market place.
This unrivalled blend of content and contacts made EFIB 2011 the must attend conference for the biobased economy.
