Which input provides your business model/core technology towards a bio-based economy?

Organic residues/waste is our input. We ferment this feedstock into a unique mixture of medium chain fatty acids (MCFA’s). which we comemrcialize for a variety of applications, ranging from animal feed to plasticizers.

Which market/clients do you address and which short-/long-term goals do you have?

By utilizing organic residues/waste, we support the market for waste valorization. With our products, we address the food, feed, agrochemical, coatings, plasticizers, solvents, home & personal care and specialty chemicals markets.

What makes your approach unique compared to other stakeholders in this field?

Organic waste is currently incinerated, landfilled or converted at low efficiency and high cost into biogas. Our technology is substantially more economical and sustainable than all these options. MCFA’s are currently produced from petroleum or palm oils, which contributes to high GHG emissions, energy consumption and risk of land use change. Our production is superior in all these aspects. Lastly, our MCFA production is also of lower cost and more stable than current processes.
