Which input provides your business model/core technology towards a bio-based economy?
To make our bags we use AppleSkin, a bio-based, vegan and sustainable leather alternative made using upcycled apple waste from the juice industry. For the lining we use ECOALF’s deadstock nylon made from upcycled ocean plastic and fishnets, as part of the ECOALF’s ‘Upcycling The Oceans’ project.

nuuwaï is here to offer stylish bags for conscious consumers around the world who care about animals and the environemnt. Our core mission is to lead the new way of fashion by offering beautiful, high quality bags which are made using vegan, cruelty free and eco-friendly.
What makes your approach unique compared to other stakeholders in this field?
nuuwaï was amongst the first brands to introduce bio based vegan materials in the fashion/bag industry. Our brands aims to showcase more and more innovative biobased products in the future and through them educate consumers about fashion, sustainability, ethics and fashion innovation and technology.
