Sustainable materials are increasingly demanded by consumers and clients in different industrial applications area. Be it food packaging, automotive, fashion, furniture or consumer products – the search for alternatives to fossil-based plastics is in full swing. Many stakeholders in science and industry are already using novel biological resources to create innovative and sustainable materials. The webinar showcased some of those innovators and provides some background on the potentials and challenges that comes along with working on bio-based alternatives.
