TWB helps industry in facing climate change along its social and environmental responsibility. TWB develops innovative and sustainable routes from renewable feedstocks to produce existing products and new ones with novel performances, using the living. Supported by a consortium of 53 partners (inc. 37 industrials), TWB uses its technology platforms to accelerate product development for private companies. Partnering with leading-edge public laboratories, TWB leverages its state-of-the-art expertise and capabilities to develop biotechnology-based processes. Its activities range from catalyst development (enzymes and microorganisms) to setting-up pre-industrial process. TWB is also supporting start-up development. Currently, it hosts 6 start-ups and provides technical, scientific and administrative assistance so that they can demonstrate their proof of concept. TWB projects are led with an ethics and sustainability approach.
